The Centre for Supervision and Team Development is the UK’s leading Training Organisation for Supervision. It has been running postgraduate trainings in the UK and internationally both as open programmes and as bespoke courses for organisations across the helping professions since 1979. These include social services departments, hospitals, drug and alcohol treatment centres, clinical psychology departments, clergy, Relate, schools, counselling and psychotherapy organisations. It has also been involved in extensive research and publications in the field including the best selling Supervision in the Helping Professions 1989, 2000 and 2006 Open University Press/McGraw Hill.


Robin Shohet is co-author with Peter Hawkins of Supervision in the Helping Professions. He is a practising psychotherapist and organisational consultant, and has recently published Passionate Supervision (2007). This book examines bringing supervision, mentoring and appreciative inquiry into schools.
