Addiction is one of the most pervasive problems within society– cutting across age, gender, income etc. It is recognised but often hidden & seldom addressed. Increasingly, more & more people from a variety of professions find themselves dealing with the problems caused by Addiction such as : prison service, medical & youth workers, teachers, personnel managers, family/parents & recovering addicts.


Learning Objectives

The overall aim of this Addiction Studies Certificate Course is to provide participants with clear, accessible, up to date Information. This information will allow participants to gain insight into this area; it will challenge their attitudes; and it will stimulate greater understanding, which participants can bring to their professional or personal lives. This will be achieved through the following learning objectives.
